Monthly Cleanup Stats

As of November 2024, thanks to your active E-Citizenship, we've removed an impressive 483 pounds of debris from our oceans. That's equivalent to:

    • 9,660 plastic bottles

    • 48,300 plastic forks

    • 483,000 plastic straws

This continues to be a testament to the power of our international E-Citizens.

    Ocean Positive News

In November 2024, researchers discovered that metal-rich nodules found on the seafloor are generating oxygen, which is an unexpected twist in marine science. These nodules, typically known for their mineral content, were found to contribute to a steady, albeit meager, supply of oxygen in ocean environments. This discovery adds a new dimension to our understanding of ocean ecology and the roles these nodules might play in marine ecosystems and the broader climate system.

This could also mean that the nodules sitting on the seabed could generate electric currents large enough to split, or electrolyse, molecules of seawater. How exciting is that?

      Call to Action

Your e-citizenship is making waves, but there's more we can do. This month, we continue the same trend and we challenge you to refuse single-use plastics for a week. Share your experience on social media with #SealandOceanHero to inspire others and amplify our impact.

Remember, every active E-Citizenship strengthens our mission. Together, we're not just E-Citizens of the world's smallest nation - we're guardians of the blue planet. Let's continue to make every dollar count for our oceans!

I totally agree with you that seas today are full of plastic waste .On top of that the bee population is suffering death owing to crop spraying . Agriculture will finish bees off for good by 2027 . Without bees fruit and plant life ,crops too will perish .The knock on affect is headed to end of human life.Yet Governments world wide do nothing to stop the death of earth. Big talk about climate change when we have proof nature is the cause of heat and cold .Thames river used to freeze so hard bombfire roasted chestnuts and muffins and keep ice skaters happy and war .Today Thames not freezing over . It travels in 50 year spasms of world change .Man cannot change it one bit. The skin around earth heals .Or Atom bomb would have finished us all off . Filling sea with rubbish and death world wide of bees is something Governments must stop before it is too late
