In a world rich with diverse cultures and nations, our Sealand flag stands as a unique testament to human ingenuity and the pursuit of sovereignty. While Sealand itself is a small ronation located on an abandoned military fortress in the North Sea, the distinctive red, white, and black horizontal stripes have appeared in some unexpected corners of the globe.

Today, we explore 4 intriguing destinations worldwide where the Sealand flag was raised, showcasing our nation's enduring spirit.

Where was the Sealand flag?

When ancestors designed that simple yet powerful red, white, and black flag for Sealand, they couldn't have fathomed the diverse corners of the world it would come to grace. Below are 4 destinations where the Sealand flag was peaked.

Reaching the summit is a triumphant accomplishment, and the sunrise vistas over the African plains are breathtaking. The region's cultural richness, diverse population, and traditional practices add an extra layer of intrigue. Kilimanjaro hikes are exciting climbs and holistic and unforgettable adventures.

On November 14, 2016, the Sealand flag was proudly waved atop the iconic peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. The Sealand flag's ascent to Kilimanjaro's summit was made possible through the dedication and determination of our chief engineer, Tim. He followed in the footsteps of those who have reached new heights with this symbol of Sealand's sovereignty.

On May 22, 2021, an extraordinary event unfolded high above the Caucasus Mountains—a moment that seamlessly bridged the world's smallest sovereign state and a remarkable mountaineering adventure. On this date, the Sealand flag was proudly hoisted atop Mount Elbrus by Alexander Stroganov.

In 2013, Kenton Cool accomplished what many considered impossible—the "Three Peak Challenge". Along his incredible journey, he unfurled the Sealand flag at the summit of Everest, a meaningful act that echoed the spirit of Sealand's Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1967.

I am a licensed nurse practitioner in the USA with 30+ years of urgent care, critical care and emergency department experience. I was wondering, what type of medical facilities do you have on Sealand? Are new new applicants allowed to actually live on Sealand? How is Medical care rendered? This is such an interesting and amazing concept? Do you allow visitors? Are vaccines required? So many very important and interesting questions. If one lives on Sealand as a resident, what are the work requirements? There’s got to be tons of work to do to keep the country going. Basic general maintenance.
